Hot Minute by Moon Boots feat. Black Gatsby

Exceptionally talented muli-instrumentalist and producer Moon Boots (Peter Dougherty) has revealed his third studio album ‘Ride Away’ will land March 17 on Anjunadeep. Featuring a swathe of colourful collaborators including the likes of Cherry Glazerr, Dope Earth Alien, and Nic Hanson, ‘Ride Away’ is a crowning celebration of Dougherty’s affinity for fun, effervescent songwriting and dance-inducing production.

The announcement is accompanied by the release of ‘Hot Minute’, the vivacious first single featuring the vocals of LA actor, artist, and longtime collaborator Black Gatsby. With a catchy bouncing bassline and singalong chorus, ‘Hot Minute’ is a tantalising taste of what Dougherty has been cooking in the studio over the past 3 years. The single follows the recent release of ‘Come Back Around’ which featured indie-darling Cherry Glazerr and was named ‘Coldest Record’ on BBC Radio 1, and supported on the likes of KCRW, Triple J, and SiriusXM.

A characteristic blend of R&B, disco, and house, ‘Ride Away’ follows in the footsteps of Moon Boot’s debut First Landing (2017) and sophomore album Bimini Road (2019) which have since accumulated over 100 million streams. Championed by the likes of Annie Mac, Diplo, Danny Howard, and The Blessed Madonna, Moon Boots has established himself as a trailblazer of R&B-infused dance music. Having remixed the likes of Dua Lipa, Robyn, and Nile Rodgers, Dougherty’s production prowess is in high demand, whilst his eclectic DJ sets and live shows (including a full live band) have seen him tour the world, with recent headline shows sold out across North America and Australia, and full live tour expected in 2023 to celebrate the release of ‘Ride Away’.
