Collecting previous singles (‘Until You’re Gone’, ‘Breakdown’) alongside three new tracks, Mood Spill moves across a wide spectrum of emotions and genres. The mysterious and emotional shuffle of lead single ‘Until You’re Gone’ sits next to the chaotic belter ‘Kieran’, followed by calm admissions in ‘Lack of a Lover’ and the hypnotising surrender of ‘Green Trees’. It all builds toward ‘Breakdown’, the story-driven closer that perfectly encapsulates the band’s ethos in one cathartic track.
