Some little things are too beautiful to be wasted in forgotten backup folders. The sound of sleeping houses. Zelda chirping out of a Game Boy speaker. The rustle of the wind that brings the echoes of a techno rhythm in the distance. Lighting a match. Carillons. Autism and acupuncture. We decided to start a series of digital releases for all the pretty little things that rest for too long in our archives.
We were a label. We published experimental and underground music between 2007 and 2017.
We did believe that the foremost feature of experimentation is excess, and hence our name: surplus, garbage, noise that generates unnecessary but productive forms.
We inhabited the underground with small-scale, limited editions, and we strove to channel all profit into our next batch of high-quality releases.
