London-based producer, DJ and multi-instrumentalist duo Jamie Hoddle and Lewis Gregory, known as Mona Vale, make their Anjunachill debut with a three-track downtempo electronica EP.
Having grown up playing in bands together, the pair draw on their indie-rooted teenage years, blending live musicianship with club-focused electronic sounds. Since launching the project in 2016, Mona Vale have released music on respected labels including Anjunadeep, Colorize, Eton Messy Records and Fatboy Slim’s Southern Fried Records, earning support from BBC Radio 1 tastemakers Pete Tong, Annie Mac, Danny Howard and Jaguar.
With this release, the duo explore a softer, more introspective side. The EP is inspired by a deeply personal new chapter in their lives: entering parenthood.
“After both of us having kids in recent years, the music reflects feelings of blissful euphoria, rebirth, and innocence during this poignant time. We slowed the tempo and leaned into our most melodic sides yet, writing purely for emotion rather than the dancefloor.”
