Debris
Four minutes and twenty-four seconds of collapse. Guitar and bass grind against gamelan and bundengan, while angklung rattles like broken glass. Synth FX drift like smoke rising from ruins, percussion marking time as if counting the dead.
The lyric is sparse, almost skeletal: “From the ruins… All the man perish… From the debris to the place I seek.” Words crumble the way buildings do, repeating until they lose solidity and become mantra.
Here, absence becomes a landscape. The song is not about what stands, but what has already fallen. By the end, even the voice feels eroded, as if singing from the other side of the collapse.
Debris is not mourning, nor is it hope. It is simply the sound of what remains.
