Willow Scythe by Mirror Wound
Following a series of self-released records, TT are proud to present
the first label release from Pittsburgh based artist VRBA, Willow
Scythe.
Distinguished by an unparalleled sense of space, VRBA’s
production moves fearlessly across sonic thresholds. The album
moves quickly between warped choruses and obscured sonic
hazes punctuated with spongy drums. The listener is dropped in
the centre of VRBA’s sonic narrative, an all-encompassing place
neither interior nor exterior but wholly its own, drums skitter and
pulse to their own rhythm, a chord descends and never comes
back.
Premiering alongside the release will be an audiovisual
collaboration with the 3D artist & designer Adrienne Cassel
exploring narrative and corporeal elements of the music.
Willow Scythe is released via TT on April 16th.
