The Reincarnate by Miriam Maaravi

As WWI is winding to a close a mother sits in the parlor room of a yellow stone house on a hill. There are marks in the wall tracking the growth of her son, a son who never made it past 18.
Decades pass and the house has been sitting dormant since 1934. That is until you decided it would be the perfect place to start over again. So you drive up the gravel path, past the hip-high wheat fields and rolling hills that rustle in the breeze. You've been warned about the things that haunt the yellow house on the corner, but you're preoccupied with ghosts of your own.

The Reincarnate is about the things that haunt us, things that change us, and what we leave behind. It is about cycles both on a macro scale, the literal cycles of life and death, as well as our micro more symbolic cycles of self. When you lose someone it can feel like the world has ended. I mean the world really does end. But we keep starting over, over and over again. And both of those processes, loving and losing, grieving and beginning anew, are as natural as living and dying. They are inevitable, they are law, they are what it means to be here. Creating this album and sharing it has been a very cathartic and magical experience for me. I hope it can offer you a similar reprieve. And I hope whatever it is that you holding onto, whatever burden you carry, that it becomes lighter with time and that you continue to begin again.
