SCARED

There’s a hole in the fence in the back of my yard.
I like to sneak out, but I never go far.
All kinds of things hanging out in the trees
And I don’t like the way they’re looking at me.

I get Scared at creepy things
Bats that bite, bugs that sting.

by the stairs there’s a door to a tiny room
It’s just a closet but I swear the broom moved.
I hear noises in the middle of the night
Sounds like it’s coming from somewhere inside.

My brother thinks it’s cool but I’m really not entertained.

why I shake like a house in a hurricane.
I get Scared so please stay near, and I won’t be so full of fear.
