Sixty Five by mike skliar
This latest album of mine is entitled "Sixty Five". It was written and recorded in February, 2025, which is the month I turned 65. It was written and recorded as part of the online collective known as February Album Writing Month, a songwriting community which I've been involved with for many years. Thanks to everyone there for support, advice, etc., and thanks to my family and friends as well.
I wrote and recorded all songs, except that the lyrics of "Stopping by the woods on a snowy evening" are by Robert Frost, and the lyrics of "Sunshine thru the rain' are by another Feb. album writing month member, John Nicholson in Australia. (check his own bandcamp page out under the name "coolparadiso" )
Needless to say, its been quite a strange month for most folks on this planet, me included, what with the crazy politics here in the US, etc. Alot of that is reflected in the lyrics, but of course there's other things here as well. Hope you enjoy!
