Isomorph EP by Mike Dickson
This all fell into place rather quickly, which is surprising as most of what I do tends to have long periods of inactivity and great swathes of reflection and doubt and revision. One of these tunes was improvised in two hours with only minor tinkering afterwards, which is astounding by my standards. Some of this output is related to the other EPs in the series too, with a nod here and there to the various arrangements and voicings. Other parts hark back to a particular release of Colours which really needed a bit of expansion. And there is guitar on it too. Sort of. In a manner of speaking. The closing phrases of the last track are worth hearing too, as they are the literal sounds of me running out of ideas in real time.
