Formless by Mike Dickson

A follow-on from the discipline of Function produces the far less rigid format found here. Sometimes it drifts into serious darkness (such as the last track) and some seems to bounce along without any real idea where it is going. As ever, I've no idea at all where this comes from or where it's due to arrive half the time.

Sometimes structure is important. Sometimes it's actually irrelevant. On one occasion in this collection (I am not going to say where) I found a situation where I didn't have to do much at all - the hardware ended up playing itself. I'm not joking. Is that artificial? Is it actual? What makes artifice? Does a human copying other ideas make it every bit as artificial and we assume it is when it's created by silicone?

Philosophy is going to be the ultimate winner here.
