We thought it was going to be a new frontier, but it turned out to be more of the same. More steel, more glass and more people. Lots and lots of people.
They came marching in by the boatload, without really anyone controlling who was here or even who was going to run things. They set it all up themselves. We knew there would be trouble. And of course there was.
I mean I have nothing against them personally. There are just too many of them. And we knew what was going to happen. I don't want to be that guy that said 'I told you so' but - you know - I told you so.
It's the difference between us being settlers and them being incomers. It's a state of mind. I was happier in Spain. At least you got no foreigners there.
