Dance Away by Mika's Tapes
A short dancy track for when bad weather, illness or anything else keeps you stuck inside but you're looking outside your window wishing you just could get out there. Maybe this helps you to dance it away. The tune's working title was "Dancing on my windowpane". I don't know what prompted me to change it.
It was recorded in single tracks to Ableton. All takes are single-takes to capture the moment, as they say. I also added some oneshot cymbal samples to the mix which I've collected over the years.
Finally, I mastered the track using my AKAI GX Reel-to-Reel. The warble you hear is a 100% real to reel - heh heh.
