The Pheasant from Grand Prairie by Isaac Turner
Hunted with my dad a lot as a kid and these creatures were always to fascinating to me. Lovely birds. Technically an invasive species, which I find hard to believe given how well they fit into the ecosystem. Apparently someone released a bunch of pheasants in Detroit years ago and you can still see them around.
