Michael Oloyede is an afrofunk, social issue inspired Lagos based drummer/singer. He is the creator and bandleader of the music ensemble "Native Brains".
His music is a blend of Afrobeat and funk/pop, built on highly rhythmic Yoruba sounds. It envelopes funky horns and energetic beats, laced with harmonies over a hipnotising bass groove - a sound dear to Fela Kuti lovers.
