Eightch by Michael Dooley Project
"Eightch" is a collection of tracks that, at the time, I compiled just to organize leftover tracks that had been done around the time of the material that went onto my very first collection of four track recordings, "Psychopath".Many of these recordings were demos for songs that I was doing in a band I was playing with at the time. Some of the songs are acoustic versions of songs that ended up on "Psychopath". Others are just experiments and ideas that I recorded when I was first recording music at home on the four track. These recordings were all over the place on random tapes and I wanted to get them saved while I had the time to do it. Now, years later, I am glad that I did. Otherwise they would be there with the piles of tapes in my basement that just sit there. Relics of the past. With the advances in technology, now, it is so much easier to put together a song quickly and neatly file it away and save it for whenever and whatever. I am glad that I took the time to bounce down these tracks when I was a kid in my twenties hanging out at home with his toys. Memories.
