Cooking by Brad Henkel / Mia Dyberg
Cooking is the third out of 12 in the album series duoscrapbooks.
Every month of 2019 I will release a selfproduced duo album with recent material in the language that the other musician in the duo identifies with.
Cooking is recorded in my old livingroom and kitchen in west Kreuzberg with Brad Henkel, hence the album titles in english.
This was our first duo meeting and here I wish to honestly portrait the process of the duo and how we look at form, and to go close to our voices. Cooking is completely acoustic one-microphone recording dubbed with a few of Mia´s kitchen field recordings, It is 95% freely improvised and the overdubs is spontaneously added without second thoughts, a chance given for a peek into how form can emerges in improvisation.
