this is a collection of hip-hop adjacent music inspired by the sound of a dim lonely apartment, a lack of sunlight, the slow death of the ego, and a week-long episode of bipolar disorder. it exists as a document of a time in the life of a human being with feelings and struggles and loves and thoughts and fears beyond the hollow words of a self-styled artist playing a character

too much of the art i once enjoyed and the art i have made in the past was driven by self-regard and persona, and so much of the stuff that i enjoy now exists in a void of ambiguity and facelessness. i dunno if this is a natural function of getting older or a result of overexposure to the kind of art that is essentially about "being an artist" vs "making things", but this is an attempt to embody the latter rather than the former
