On Halloween day, 1984, in the sleepy town of Brookhaven, a chilling legend reawakens.

At exactly 12:01 AM, a shadowy figure returns to the quiet cul-de-sac where a grisly string of unsolved murders took place a decade earlier. Known only as The Evildoer, this faceless presence was believed to be a myth until the killings began again, each more brutal than the last.

When a group of teens uncover a mysterious VHS tape in the attic of a suburban home, they accidentally summon a nightmare from the past. Now, hunted by something that can't be reasoned with and never seems to die, they must unravel the truth behind the murders before the clock strikes midnight again... or become the next footage on the tape.
