Art Therapy by Mc Haddik

Art Therapy was written at a time when my world was falling apart. My relationship with my beautiful partner, the mother of my child, was dangerously close to the edge.

To ease the tension and the suffering, I spent every single night of the week on my terrasse smoking and drinking, with a little mono speaker next to me blaring out sad songs.

That’s why this EP is written on top of existing tracks. I wrote the lyrics – or rather the lyrics burst out – while I listened to these beautiful songs. It was the only way I found at the time to cope with the hardships of love.

This album is dedicated to you, cosi. Like I wrote to you a long time ago, predicting (through all the mess) that this day would finally come:

De te voir debout, droite, quelque peu ébouriffée, mais toujours magnifique et fière, me gonfle les poumons d’une joie invincible. Tu as décidé de lutter. Tu as nourri notre flamme plutôt que nos craintes. Je ne peux t’en remercier suffisamment. Et regarde notre feu, il luit d’une telle splendeur.
