Equal parts dad jokes and digital malaise, Marchin’ Inn draws its charm from Jasper’s fascination with conversational oddities and the absurdities of modern life. With musical roots in early Sufjan Stevens, Jens Lekman, and Loudon Wainwright III, the record plays like a quiet comedy special filtered through a four-track recorder. Tracks like “The Endless Scroll” tap into lo-fi hip-hop aesthetics while “Middle Man” and “Swiped Bags” bring out acoustic pop melodies and lyrical miniatures reminiscent of a folk Wes Anderson soundtrack.

“I wanted to make a record that felt like a month-long fever dream—the kind you wake up from wondering if that joke you told at work was brilliant or just awkward,” says Jasper. “These songs started as bits, riffs, and doodles on lunch breaks. Some are about people I know, some are about people I used to be, and some are just about March—the weirdest month. Marchin’ Inn is a little crooked, a little sweet, and definitely written in pencil.”
