Burning Daylight by Mathias Davey

I'm not sure what to say about this album. There are things I like about it and things that I don't really like about it. There was definitely more self doubt during the writing of this album than the last two eps. At points I wasn't sure if I was just wasting my time, hence the title.

It never felt like a waste during the actual creating, but when you have a lot of time to reflect on the work you've done it becomes incredibly easy to lose affection for it. I ended up questioning my motivations for why I was creating it. Was it for me? or attention? or for others? is it any good, and does it matter if anyone else thinks it's any good?

I still don't really know. I had no clear cut goals, I just wanted to make an album and it happened. I'm not sure what will come next. I'm not even sure if I will ever want try to do this for a living.

But despite all the doubt I am glad that it was written, and as far as I know I will continue to write. There are serious songs, goofy songs, weird songs, normal songs. I don't think any of you will like the entire thing, but I am hopeful that most will find something here to like.
