All tracks contain samples from an old 2.5" reel-to-reel tape, probably from the late ’60s or early ’70s. The tape came with a Miny Transistor #501 reel-to-reel recorder (2.5" reels!) from 1966 - that’s the one pictured on the cover. The sound quality was extremely poor, with recordings at different speeds, one channel often carrying music while the other had voices or random sounds - sometimes even reversed, which actually sounded pretty cool.
Among the material were some strange Dutch voice recordings, and even a woman reading a Spanish language course - totally bizarre to find on such a tiny tape.
All samples were recorded and transferred using an Akai GX-220D tape deck and later used as raw skits throughout the release.
The "skits" are quite interesting too :).
