I scattered flowers, For many hours
By an inland sea, They looked so free
And here I watch the bay, Gently it does not betray
My heavy mind, Maybe this time

If I can find resolve, Where the shore dissolves
These salty waves, Like ghosts they fade
Rushing right through, Gray gravel grooves
Flooding out to sea, Leaving me to be with me

Rain speckled evening, It found me softly breathing
Pressed down by misery, Oh how I can’t sleep

A grayness chills my mind
Soon understanding fills my eyes
With hints of what could be, Waiting there for me
