MUTED MUSIC : cold joy struck like pain in the day’s eye/a warning to that day /still i share yr song /still - i can belong /step beyond the shade/to understand/and recognise yr light /still - let yr stillness pierce the chimes/ calling out/sounding morning to my night/still - filling with charmed cries / flowering, ringing out and I’m alive/with delicate fire /i’m so alive /so beguiled/ … this muted music is fine, love/...not overflowing, but sounding full enough to set us reeling disbelieving/muted music, defining love /a beauty’d singing that we clasp to us/to set us reeling/ever feeling this muted music/is fine for us / … yet still - you sometimes feel estranged/as if far away/in darkness disarrayed/stilled, dimming in delicate gloom/motionless/locked into a lonely room/as if silence sounds/and dimming light surrounds you .
