I’m at the end of the horizon
I feel the heavens stretch me thin
I watch as Cronus sheds his velvet
And sinks his antlers in my mottled skin

Blinding, endless
Vivid, the sting
Pleading, tongueless
From tears, a stream
Barren hillsides
Now lush with green

Most ask for rings of water
With stones of ice and methane
I only begged for mercy

Stagnant oceans
Tawdry beliefs

Someone is kneeling on my stomach
Heavy and leering from my chest
