Though this is a pretty new song, Canadian artist Julian Taylor's original is pretty squarely folk with steel guitar accents. When I accidentally ran across this song, it captured me - and the moment we're (I'm) in. I also immediately heard a Tragically Hip version on my head, which is what I've tried to capture here. I had a hard time recording these vocals without literally choking up and tearing up. I thought it was perhaps just me, but when I had my wife track a backup vocal part, she broke down in tears.... so, yea...
