North Pacific

This water is so deep and wide
This boat is so small
I shut off the engine
I am nothing at all

Now out here on the water
I hear your voice again
Out here where
Some things will always be
This dark grey water moves
And you’re with me

It took a trip out here to realize
You were gone
Where the great North Pacific
Reaches out to meet the sky
I came out here to say goodbye

Right now this water is calm
Right now this sky is partially clear
(soon) This boat will soon becomes nothing
(When the big) changes start to appear

It was out on this North Pacific
You were at your best (at ease)
Right now there’s a calm
And I hope you rest (and a quiet breeze)

Big fish comes out of the water
Only 10 feet away
This boat moves
The waters calm today

I remember where we were
When we got the news that day
They say the big tide came in
And swept you away

You left some of us empty
A part of us gone
So many times what happens
There is no right or wrong
