Death Meditation from Guided Meditations by Marisa Reyes
Welcome to the death meditation. In Nahuatl, the language of the Aztecs, miquitzli means death, also known as transmutation, transforming darkness into light.
So set the intention that this meditation will help bring about greater peace and happiness in all beings everywhere by bringing that which is in the dark, into the light.
It is a common Buddhist meditation practice to meditate on death to remind us of the impermanence of life and to remember that mama death can meet us in any moment, in any place, at any time, at any age.
Have a journal ready so you can reflect on what came up for you.
