Childhood Reflections from Childhood Reflections by Maria Pelekanou
The childhood reflections was programmed and musically composed with reference to the original composition of J.C.Risset, ‘Duet for one pianist’ using similar techniques and morphological processes but in a modern environment, the Maxmsp environment.The second part has the same name, ¨Childhood reflections¨, based on simple melodies and rhythmic shapes. The sound reflections created according to the mirrors technique, which is presented herein, gave rise to the name of the title. The jazz chords are used in very few but selected points.
