Marek Dusil is an Prague´s songwriter, who´s building his songs on the ground of folk, rock and blues. Influences from Czech scene, from american folk- rock bands and blues bands from everywhere. Most of songs are made in his native language - Czech, but time to time coming song in an English. But work with Czech is, of course, more simply, and can be most poetic.
In 2006 he met his today´s band players, and they started concerting under name MAREK DUSIL & YOUNGBLOOD. Marek, guitar player and lead vocalists welcome to the band such a creative guitarist, like is BANY, experienced and creative musician, what have experiance from his last bands. he is a songwriter too, so can nice complete their playlist.
Pavel Matyáš- bass guitar player is active musician, performing in a more bands. Is it very good technician player, and his good humour is for band very importent.
Drummer Aleš Kondýsek came from Moravia, and is it youngest player in the band.
First award band got from private TAIS AWARDS (www.taisawards.com), for Best rock show of 2009.
After a few Years started recording of their debut album, and finding of record company. But in it, their haven´t succes, and with come of sponsor, was decided doing it under own label mark. In this time came change of name to
MAREK DUSIL BLEND.
In a small studio near Prague were finished 10 songs. About cooperation had an interest musician and producer Štěpán Smetáček, drummer of most of Czech famous bands. His work with recorded stuff gave to it soft sound and arangements, and he put on records some keybords and special sound effects. Power of sound gave to album mastering in studio ŽENtour. Booklet of the album made guitarist Bany, last student of art high school. On the album You can finding first video too, about Sad railwaymen, which won on Czech music televisin Óčko in Chart Výtah (Lift) in april 2009.
CD were finished in december 2010 and has a name COSI (Something), it is first song of the album.
Titel name KARLSBAD is used, because frame of the album is made by two songs- Karlsbad and Karlsbad II. This is hommage for Czech spa Karlovy Vary- in a German Karlsbad. I had spent there my childhood and I am influenced during communist times there, when town was more gray, and full of rests after Germans, whos must left this town after II.WW.
Album is still clasical singer/songwriting album.
