Manu Chao achieved worldwide success in 1998 with 'Clandestino', his solo debut, in which he addressed social issues, dominated by African and South American rhythms. Today Manu Chao is considered one of the freest artists and least compliant with the rules of the industry : a true musical and cultural icon.
