God's Laughter by Manic P
After more than three decades, Manic P are back with a new EP and continue their musical journey. The band, which was founded in the early 90s by Marc Ess, La Lune and Les Berrtas mastermind KaiLF, celebrated considerable success with their debut tape Manic Pulation and secured a label deal with Hyperium Records. Their first CD, which rode the ‘Heavenly Voices’ wave, was released worldwide. But despite the success, a follow-up album remained unfinished - until now.
Now Manic P present their first new recordings since 1993 with ‘God's Laughter’ and ‘Raise’ - completely reworked and with new vocals: Heike Blauert-Lühe (known from the acapella formation Stimmgewalt), who lends the songs a new depth with her impressive voice. The EP is complemented by a remix by the Haifa/Israel-based musician Dmitry Osipov, head of the band thewalkingicon.
