MagneticWest is an instrumental trio working near the fringes of avant rock. Their debut album captured an angular edge honed on prog and post rock, psychedelia, noise, and early fusion. The most recent effort “Pass Fire” moved through more varied stylistic terrain - drone, free jazz, and ambient influences widened the field of vision while organ and piano imbued the music with harmonic depth.
