Delivering obscenities, or one should rather say obscurities in the pigeon accent of an old, legalistic seventh-day baptist, Mad Martigan (The Nerva, can you believe it?) holds no barred knuckle air-guitar swings on this anti-video game type musical display. Using rock-n-roll as an occupation, Area 51 as the training grounds, the Sasquatch people group as an audience and Loch Ness as the location where the albums are recorded, Martigan creates a somewhat cosmic entity directed towards unique individuals in rare locations of the most secret parts of the lost corners at the ends of the universe? Some ten years and 25 horrible albums later, Duke Lobronski yet again musters up the strength to arise from a continual urine-drenched "foul body odor" sabbatical slumber with his trusted accomplice (and only canine friend) Bartholomew Rustaturd to lay down another album preceding one non-mentionable piece most notably a "Live" acoustic album recorded sometime around December 2012. These New & Original Mosrite electric guitar / Fender jazz bass tracks are geared at recapturing the Artist's love of New School punk from the late 90's found on extreme sports surf and sk8 videos as well as Warped Tour bands of that era. Taking influence from groups like: Pennywise, AFI, Rancid, NOFX, Bad Religion, MXPX, Face to Face, Lagwagon, Good Riddance, Common Sense, High Standard, The Casualties and Ten Foot Pole this is Mad Martigan's version of trying to mimic those bands some 20 years later without really knowing how or why. During a time when post-grunge bands like Nickelback, Creed and Lighthouse as well as rock-rap groups like Korn, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park and Kid Rock dominated mainstream commercialized radio airplay, surfers & skaters (at least the ones who still considered themselves Counter Culture) owned absolutely no albums by these hugely inflated, exploited, mass-produced/over-exposed super commercial radio bands. It was the underground all-ages punk & straight edge venues like: The Annex, RKNDY, and Chain Reaction where Buddy Head, Tooth and Nail, Epitaph and Fat Records bands would start out playing for teenagers who were there for the music, rather than the booze or loose women. It was the non-alcoholic venues, college dorms, talent shows, skate contests, backyard house parties and beach bbqs where bands would play for the youth, touring on a limited low-budget, doing the vans warped tour and producing complete DIY music, merch & zines supporting the extreme sports like motocross, wakeboarding, surfing, snowboarding, freestyle inline and skateboarding. These underground punk and hardcore bands would create a loud, fast, aggressive music that kids could slam dance to, mosh and crowd surf or just get amped up before doing an action sports session. These songs are meant to rekindle the aggressive adrenaline fueled fire of youth, "Speak Love & Truth in the Name of Jesus" and share something new with people who are fans of those past bands & influences. A very fragile item such as a wild goose feather in a steel mill or a crippled wallaby at a wrestling match, completely run by bearded female circus midgets advertising the "world's smallest horse" inappropriately. Some call it "rare" others refer to it as strangely "other-worldly" often cited as having an cosmic appeal & hard to distinguish leaving individuals stunned, puzzled & questing origin.
