rejection memos by Mackenzie Shivers

I wanted to share with you some 'rejection memos', voice memos recorded during the writing and creation of 'Rejection Letter' (released April 2nd, 2021). These are unaltered, straight from my iPhone.

I always record voice memos when I am writing, and it is what I use to capture a song when I deem it "finished." Or, in the case of "gold (piano)", when I was playing around with an alternate arrangement. In the case of "martha's vineyard", you'll hear a version that was near finished, but not quite.
