Unknown Faiths by Hålbå
Alessio Barbuzza aka Hålbå makes his debut proper on LXVIII with "Unknown Faiths", a powerful and extraordinary EP which is best described as a 'cathartic experience'.
Releases via Instinkt, Modern Bon, Medieval Heresies to name a few, have seen Barbuzza develop a unique sound that is so beautifully executed in his productions. One of many qualities of Hålbå is carefully making elements of each track pair with each other to not forget the brooding soundscapes, distressted beats and also the leftfield content these tracks demonstrate best.
"Unknown Faiths" presents a compositional point of view, not so different from the LXVIII discography yet again uncomplicated and transcending in a form of experimental techno. These dense drones, harsh noises and eccentric drums present the admirable skills on display that paint a picture of the artist having full control of his own art.
