Bella Union are thrilled to announce the signing of London-based duo LuxJury, a band whose soulful indie-rock sounds just as at home blasting from a Hackney dive bar jukebox as it would crackling from a car stereo drifting down the Pacific Coast Highway. Fronted by singer/guitarist Nicole ‘Lux’ Fermie, alongside drummer Howey Gill, LuxJury are currently putting the finishing touches to a debut album due out in Spring 2026.
Commenting on “Hot Mess” vocalist Lux says: “It’s a love song for those who fall victim to the dopamine of someone new and end up allowing themselves to be strung along. It actually references quite a dark time in my life where I abandoned a lot of self-respect, holding out for the love of someone who just couldn’t quite make up their mind. It started out as a punk song and gradually mellowed out into a Fleetwood Mac-style driving song. I guess that sometimes happens with emotions; they first appear all visceral and raw and then with time get distilled into their calmer essences.”
