Ginseng by Lucid Den

We proudly present "Ginseng", the lead single off our long-awaited sophomore studio album, "Ice Storm X", coming out June 25th, 2021! This was actually one of the first songs we wrote for the new album, and the first one that got to stay until the end, dating from the very beginning of the ISX sessions in March 2018.

"Ginseng" marks a transitional period between both albums, as it was originally written as an experimental synthpop song in the same vein as "Come Here" without much ambition; however, as time went on, it became obvious this album wasn't gonna be Astropunk 2; we realized the potential this song had, so it was rewritten and reworked several times until it reached its final form, changing production, structure, lyrics, vocalists, and even language during the process. Also, as we played live in 2019, we found out how good this and other songs sounded with live drums, so we recorded and added them into the mix during the very last sessions in early 2021. Here it is at last!
