Happy as can be, we bought 4 pints each
On the Dunmore beach we blew it totally
While we lit it on fire, spilled our beer in the sand
The flames went out after we burned our hands

We weren’t satisfied, so Frank took a hike
back to that supermarket, leaving me behind
This was a bad idea, everything went wrong
and out of frustration I wrote this song

When Frank returned, the beer had stopped being cold
But the firelighters finally burned
The meat was almost done, but we didn’t win
No, guess what happened, the tide came in

We almost drowned, but we made it out
We took our BBQ to higher ground
Finally settled in ready for a taste
but damn we forgot the mayonnaise
