52Notes: wrote this song exactly 30 years ago today in one sitting. I remember where I was and basically channeled this amazing energy into THIS VERY SONG.
"The trick is to make your mind go blank which is a prerequisite to receiving input from a higher power"
-John Lennon (1980)
There is no other way to say it. I know how it sounds.....C-R-A-A-C-R-A!!!!!!!! I absolutely have NO IDEA where these words or music came from from that day????? What.So.Ever. I think John Lennon wrote this song THRU me.😉...flo- (10/9/2020) A very talented Louisville band called R.U.O.K. did a fantastic version of this song which I spontaneously got up onstage & sang with and harmonized with their lead singer on in the early 90s due to my involvement with Paul Moffet's L.S.A. (Louisville Songwriter's Cooperative). I have a S-VHS tape of it somewhere that I'll have to digitize some day.

52Notes: more stream-of-consciousness which has a Very Lennon-esque quality to it, production is the BEST I got...flo-

52Notes: Asked Todd Hildreth ( in 1997) - to add some piano on this one while finishing my degree. Needed a piano. Groovy Todd is one of the most gifted musicians I have ever met & he absolutely nailed it.
His band, the JavaMen can be found HERE/HEAR:

Pi$$ed off that the cassette tape ran out before we got to: "bring it on home". Oh well, maybe next time, at least we caught 80% of this song before I forgot how to play it. The closest to a good "heart on sleeve" tune ala Paul Westerberg I've ever written imo...enjoy...flo-
4
52Notes: stream of conscious ramblings, great recording/engineering
5
52Notes: written w. Peter Scavuzzo III around 1997. He obviously plays the badass riff much better than I can. I think I got close enuff here. Would be great to one day rerecord this one w. Pete's involvement...flo-
6
52Notes: just remember how easy this one came writing & recording. Playing around w. all the octaves w. OPEN-E tuning, gives this one massive power. A personal favorite.
7
Another stream-of-consciousness lyrics written song w. 4 different takes ALL PUT TOGETHER into this finished demo. IMO my all time BEST Geoff Emerick moment in the studio & it WORKS...flo-
