Lyrics
Lullay, thou little tiny child,
By by, lully, lullay, thou little tiny child,
By by, lully, lullay!
Oh, sisters too
How may we do,
For to preserve this day?
This poor youngling,
For whom we sing
By, by, lully, lullay.
Herod the King,
In his raging,
Charged he hath this day.
His men of might,
In his own sight,
All young children to slay.
That woe is me,
Poor child for thee!
And ever morn and day,
For thy parting
Neither say nor sing
By, by, lully, lullay!

Travis, Jon, and Sonia recorded this version of the Coventry Carol - arguably the most badass of all Medieval Christmas songs. Backstory: it was originally part of an English "mystery play" about the Christmas story, and was performed a capella by three women as a lullaby to the doomed children who were about to be slaughtered by King Herod. (hence the 'by by, lulay lulay'). I hope you enjoy our version.
