Creative Commoners by Lothar & Matthew

The album title is, naturally a pun.

The cover art is some street art I found in Seattle while talking a brisk walk. It was pasted onto a utility box outside some sketchy looking business structure. A week after I shot the photo, someone had painted over the art, which is a crying shame because a utility box is otherwise an incredibly dull thing to gaze upon.

This release would have been longer, but these four songs seemed to work together well, but wouldn't play nice with anything else. Plus, when you throw a fake reggae song out there, it's probably time to call it an EP and go home.

No record label in particular presents Lothar & Matthew, which started out as a friendly bet between Nomeansno's bassist and the band's webmaster/roadie that given a decent array of music software, he too could become an electronic artist. Lothar & Matthew will also teach you new words to expand your vocabulary.
