The kids will be here soon
I'll let 'em sleep until the afternoon
And when they awake
Maybe a picnic by the lake
With some raspberry pancakes and cinammon tea.

(The lights come up on the VW Bus, still hurtling northward. DAVIE is driving and the kids are slumped on the back seats, except HENRY who gets up, looks around, and sticks his head out the sunroof, drinking in the night air as the wind whips his face.)

The danger won't last long
The kings and queens are young and strong
And up here with me
The kids will safely run free
Having raspberry pancakes and cinammon tea

(TESS turns to a small cupboard, opens it, and pulls out a small silver framed photograph. She looks longingly at the picture as she sings.)
