A song is a hype new drop every time you sing it. There’s no expiry date on a song, you just need to keep singing. I sang these songs over and over again this past year when I needed words that weren’t my own.

Every song I write is the sum of every song I’ve ever heard. This album appropriates and shines new lights on songs that mean heaps to me.

The Local Woman universe exists between synth, decks, ableton, bass, and voice. It’s a constant conversation I have as a working DJ, with the places I play and the people I play for. Thanks to everyone who has ever come out and heard me play, you are in this too.
