Lyrics
My Garden
The garden gate before me
was so much higher than I could see
my small hand turned the latch,
I push the gate against the weeds
The high grass towered around me
Like soft walls to guide my way
I see apple trees growing so lonely,
Plum tree’s where seed’s once lay.
A grape vine twists and turns
around trestles worn and tired
The willow shades from heat,
and nurtures all I admired.
The warmth of the sun
Made me close my eyes,
so I could see flowers,
with my fingers
When the rain fell gently
caressing through my hair,
I pressed my cheek,
To the branch of the willow tree
Instrumental
All I see and smell,
pauses in my soul
Imprints into my heart,
A place where I can go
This beautiful garden
only now a memory
Such a beautiful garden,
That put it’s arms around me
Such a beautiful garden
That put it’s arms around me
Such a beautiful garden
All I see and smell
Pauses in my soul
Imprints into my heart
A place where I can go
