i took a class
and the teacher told us
that your dreams
are a way to
sort out reality

but when reality and dreams
have the same shit outcome
what do i do?

i go to sleep
upset about the words
she just said and
look for my refuge in sleep
but in sleep she comes

and is taken away
and i get lost
and am getting
further and further away

yeah
i tried that bullshit too

he sucks

and i'm left with
the goth kids and the geeks

so i wake up to readjust and
talk to you on the phone

you seem so cheery
and i'm so leery
i just want it to happen again

a brief goodbye
no final kiss
i go back to sleep

in my dream
things have drastically changed
chaos ensues
now he loves you
so i do what i thought was right

i got a gun
in fact i got two

then i find you in the arms of him
and it's all i can do
to try and be cool
as i
riddle

with holes
