Focus Natural by Linda Jozefowski

After her first album For my Dead Folks, Swiss flautist Linda Jozefowski is excited to present her new project with amazing musicians by her side. Focus Natural is an album recorded under special conditions. The composer takes inspiration from African rhythms and transforms them into more complex polyrhythms. It is a mixture of modern jazz compositions and African-inspired grooves, where rhythmic experiments are the common thread of the band. Some compositions are also reminiscent of the sound of cool jazz of the 70s.
The album was recorded at La Maison-Matrice in Crémines (Swiss Jura), with Swiss pianist Malcolm Braff on Fender Rhodes, drummer Diego Pinera from Uruguay/Berlin, French double bass player Marion Ruault and Domenic Landolf on saxophone/bass clarinet.
Focus Natural is a kind of philosophy in which focus and spontaneity, concentration and creativity merge and flow naturally thanks to a transcendental state of mind. An invitation to dance!
