Patina by Phishpie

Phishpie is a one-man band from Kyiv that uses elements of various genres, such as jazz, indie and lo-fi, to create instrumental compositions that, despite their differences in mood, harmoniously coexist.

Patina is the debut mini-album of the Kyiv project Phishpie, recorded in a home studio in December 2022. Crime programs on TV, Brazilian music of the 60s, seasonal depressions and memories of the pre-pandemic past - all this and much more served as inspiration for the creation of this mini-album. The four compositions have a relaxed, dreamy, but at the same time gloomy and pensive character. The debut EP sets the stylistic direction for Phishpie's further works, but does not limit either the creator or the listener to certain genre frameworks, giving space for associations.

Phishpie це one man band з Києва, що використовуючи елементи різних жанрів, таких як джаз, інді та лоу-фай, створює інструментальні композиції, які не дивлячись на свою розбіжність у настроях, гармонійно співіснують.

Patina - дебютний міні-альбом київського проекту Phishpie записаний на домашній студії в грудні 2022. Кримінальні передачі по ТБ, бразильська музика 60х, сезонні депресії та згадки про до-ковідне минуле - все це та багато іншого послужило натхненням для створення цього міні-альбому. Чотири композиції мають розслаблено-мрійливий, але водночас похмурий і задумливий характер. Дебютний EP задає стилістичне направлення для подальших робіт Phishpie, але не обмежує ні творця, а ні слухача певними жанровими рамками, даючи простір для асоціацій.
