Liam Hurlbut is a Maryland-based saxophonist, composer-improviser and educator. Liam is influenced by saxophonists who contributed explorative timbres and unique voices to the instrument. A foundational experience for Liam was participating in the improvisation collective Out of Your Head. As a result of this scene, he built an identity based on a passion for trans-idiomatic improvisation.
